General Information
Any student taking an AP Course, must complete the Henrico County AP Commitment Form and turn it in to School Counseling.
AP Commitments
By taking an AP Course in Henrico County, you are committing to the following:
- AP courses require a great level of time commitment.
- summer work is often a requirement.
- students experiencing difficulty in AP courses must seek additional assistance from their AP teacher.
- students will not be permitted to drop an AP class prior to October 15th.
- students dropping an elective AP class will be placed in a study hall.
- dropping from a core academic AP class to an honors or college prep level class will be permitted based on space availability after October 15th and after the completion of the High School Drop/Add
